Dark Age Productions is America’s first dungeon synth label, founded in 1994 by Bard Algol of Cernunnos Woods. Dark Age was founded to release the unique synth projects and concept albums emanating from the 1990s black / death metal underground. At the urging of fans old and new who had never forgotten us, Dark Age returned in 2016 to the modern era of dungeon synth to release titles from the most exciting new artists and reissuing some of the old classics most requested by the fans. Our releases are intended to guide listeners on journeys to medieval times, into the realms of folklore and myth, through haunted castles and into nebulous portals of dark ambiance to the spaces beyond.
